Micro Blade / Micro Blading Brows/ Eyebrow Embroidery - Originated from the ancient Japanese Method of SPMU Brows. For the most understated, natural looking, slight enhancement to your brows.

What is Microblading? (Also known as Semi Permanent Eyebrow Embroidery)
Microblading is the Japanese Method of Semi Permanent Brows and is a manual, non-machine method relatively new to the UK. It is considered to be semi-permanent, as it's compared to the traditional hairstroke digital machine technique. It is done using a hand tool with a very fine blade (made up of 10-16 tiny, fine needles configured into a blade shape) to deposit pigments into the epidermis. Because we're impacting colour closer to the top skin surface, the strokes appear and remain crisp and extremely fine.

This method is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows without anyone noticing. The results are very natural looking, feathered hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of hair present. People suffering from alopecia, trigonometrical or any other condition that causes hair loss benefit greatly from Microblading, as well as people who simply aren't happy with their eyebrows but do not wish to have a dark, defined, High Definition brows.

The pigments used in this method have been formulated to match your original eyebrow color, and if the eyebrows are still present, blend perfectly into the existing hairs.

The results are a natural, flawless, fuller looking brow. Initially, the brows appear darker, but fade significantly over a two week period. It is crucial to have a touch up done, as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment.

The results can last anywhere from 1 to 3 years, depending on different factors such as clients skin type, sun exposure and chemicals contained in creams and beauty products applied to the skin which could fade and break down the pigment sooner etc.

Pigment is implanted into the skin using a microblading pen. The pen is actually not a blade, but numerous pins that are even thinner than the needles commonly used in other cosmetic tattooing procedures. Microblading is very meticulous process; the design of the eyebrows alone can take up to 90 minutes or more, as this is the most important part of the treatment. Every client is different, and as such a bespoke eyebrow is designed for each client.

Once the desired design is ready and the client is happy to proceed, the technician will use the Microblading pen to create individual hairstrokes, one by one, implanting pigment superficially into the upper region of the dermis. This can take an hour or so. Overall the entire treatment can take up to 3 hours, which is a small price to pay for perfect brows.

After your initial treatment, a top-up is required 6 weeks later. The amount  of fading after the first treatment varies and some people may not require much (if any) additional pigment is added at this stage. After the top-up, it is recommended to have a colour boost every 12 months to maintain colour and definition.
