microblading in solihull

Microblading is a highly accurate, semi-permanent form of cosmetic tattoo. It fills in sparse eyebrows in a natural-looking way, creating the illusion of more hairs on the brow.

Microblading is a form of cosmetic tattoo. It usually last less than permanent makeup, with results lasting between 1 to three years, depending on the person.

The procedure is a meticulous one. The hand tool has a multi-needle blade that makes tiny and shapely hair-like scrapes as it inserts pigment into the outermost layer of the skin. This process is known as micropigmentation.

There are many reasons why someone would want to get microblading on their eyebrows, but whatever the reason, it almost always boils down to enhancing facial features. Someone might consider microblading if they don’t have a lot of hair on their eyebrows, whether as a result of incessant plucking or waxing, or as a result of health conditions like cancer or alopecia, which usually cause hair loss.

A good eyebrow makeover can make someone look and feel completely different. The problem is, not everyone has a good pair of bushy eyebrows to start with, and even if they did, getting eyebrow microblading will ensure whoever shapes your eyebrows from there on will have a blueprint to follow and never overly pluck or wax.

The results are a natural, flawless, fuller looking brow. Initially, the brows appear darker, but fade significantly over a two week period. It is crucial to have a touch up done, as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment. The results can last anywhere from 1 to 3 years, depending on different factors such as clients skin type, sun exposure and chemicals contained in creams and beauty products applied to the skin which could fade and break down the pigment sooner etc.

Pigment is implanted into the skin using a microblading pen. The pen is actually not a blade, but numerous pins that are even thinner than the needles commonly used in other cosmetic tattooing procedures. Microblading is very meticulous process; the design of the eyebrows alone can take up to 90 minutes or more, as this is the most important part of the treatment. Every client is different, and as such a bespoke eyebrow is designed for each client.

Once the desired design is ready and the client is happy to proceed, the technician will use the Microblading pen to create individual hair strokes, one by one, implanting pigment superficially into the upper region of the dermis. This can take an hour or so. Overall, the entire treatment can take up to 3 hours, which is a small price to pay for perfect brows.

After your initial treatment, a top-up is required 6 weeks later. The amount of fading after the first treatment varies and some people may not require much (if any) additional pigment is added at this stage. After the top-up, it is recommended to have a colour boost every 12 months to maintain colour and definition.
